The Northeast Farmers Market is located on the corner of University Avenue & 7th Avenue NE in the St. Boniface Church Parking Lot. It is every Saturday (rain or shine!) 9AM - 1PM from May 18th - October 19th.

POPclub

Each child between the ages of 4 through 12 participating in the program will receive a $2 market tokens to be spent (by kids) on fresh produce. Kids will receive their token once per market. They can choose to spend it on their own $2 selection of fresh, locally grown produce, or save their token for a future market day. The goal of the PoP Club is to empower children to make healthy choices when selecting food to eat. The program offers a chance for children to explore the farmers market and learn about the different varieties of fruits and vegetables, while also learning about how food is grown, by connecting them with local farmers. Registration and check-in will be located at the market Information Booth. Program will be open June 15th - August 31st.

Sheridan Neighborhood Organization will hold their July Community Meeting on July 29 from 7-9pm at the American Craft Council [2nd floor of Historic Grainbelt Brewery]. Pizza generously provided by our friends at Young Joni (gluten free and vegetarian options will be available).

34th Annual Edison Community & Sports Foundation Golf Tournament

Check in begins at 9AM, scramble begins at 11AM. Buffet dinner begins at 5pm. More info can be found here.

Following golf, head upstairs to have some time to socialize, have a beverage, bid on the Silent Auction items with $1 tickets and buy Raffle Tickets for the 3 big prizes.

The Edison Student Band Ensemble will play golfers in off the course and then before dinner upstairs. Maybe we will see and hear the famous Edison Alumni marching

Prizes will be awarded during the dinner time.

Have fun and meet some of the students, staff, and coaches at Edison HS.

This is a scramble format – each member of the foursome hits from the same place.
65 years and older hit from the yellowtees (forward tees)
64 years and younger hit from the white tees
Women – All Ages – Hit from the red tees (forward tees)
Must use at least 2 drives from each player
Purchased mulligans $5 each(up to 2 per person) must be used by the purchaser. No other Mulligans allowed.

Prizes will be awarded for these contests:
Putting Contest on Practice Green open to each foursome that pays to enter. $40 per Team
Skins Contest (the one lowest team score on a hole wins a skin for that hole. for Putting & Skins
Hole #2 - Longest Drive for Women.
Hole # 3 – An Edison Team will conduct a fundraiser - tee shot in the circle.
Hole #5, #8, #12, #17 are Closest to the Pin (all players)
Hole #9 – Longest Putt (all players)
Hole #13 - Longest Drive for Men under 65 from white tees.
Hole #14 – Longest Drive for Men over 65 (Seniors) from yellow tees.

Join us for a walking tour of the Sheridan Neighborhood, located in Ward 3 Minneapolis!

We will begin at Sheridan Memorial Park [1300 Water St NE] and make our way through Sheridan with stops at prominent and historical sites. Oral histories will be given by Jenny F., Margo Ashmore of the Northeaster, Joy Smallfield, Jimi The Polka Pirate of NE, and more. We plan on ending with a celebratory beer & Dago at Dusty's.

Northeast Farmers Market

The Northeast Farmers Market is located on the corner of University Avenue & 7th Avenue NE in the St. Boniface Church Parking Lot. It is every Saturday (rain or shine!) 9AM - 1PM from May 18th - October 19th.


POPclub

Each child between the ages of 4 through 12 participating in the program will receive a $2 market tokens to be spent (by kids) on fresh produce. Kids will receive their token once per market. They can choose to spend it on their own $2 selection of fresh, locally grown produce, or save their token for a future market day. The goal of the PoP Club is to empower children to make healthy choices when selecting food to eat. The program offers a chance for children to explore the farmers market and learn about the different varieties of fruits and vegetables, while also learning about how food is grown, by connecting them with local farmers. Registration and check-in will be located at the market Information Booth. Program will be open June 15th - August 31st.

According to census experts, we are at risk of having one of the lowest census counts in recent history. The debate over including a citizenship question on the census questionnaire, reduced census funding and the introduction of technology as the primary data collection tool may lead to a devastating under count.

  • Drawing school district boundaries.
