Brant Axt - President
I'm a Minnesota native who grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis and who has had the privilege of calling Northeast home for the last 6 years. I lived in Marcy-Holmes for a year, followed by 4 years in St Anthony East, finally settling down in Sheridan in the summer of 2022. I'm passionate about all the trails, parks, and businesses in our neighborhood, but mostly I'm excited about all the people that I've met here! If you see me around on my bike, don't be afraid to say hi!
Bob Day - Vice President
My wife Terry and I have lived in the Sheridan Neighborhood since 2010. We truly love that the people and small businesses of this community interact and get to know each other like a small town. I want to use that connectedness to protect the environment that we hold special. I want to participate in the process with the city to protect and improve the supply of affordable housing options and make sure that any new development is consistent with the ideals of the neighborhood.
Jeremy Mathison - Treasurer
I am a new business owner to the Sheridan neighborhood but have operated a business in NE Minneapolis since 2016. I believe that business exists to better its community and the only way for a business to truly grow is through the support of the local community. I actively seek input from our neighbors and use that feedback to collaborate together. I look forward to spending more time in the community and with our neighbors to collectively create solutions to the issues the impact our neighborhood.
Keir Anderson - Board Member At Large
Minnesotan born and raised, I moved to the promised land of Northeast 11 years ago. Since then, I've grown to love the community, its parks, art, and of course food and drink. After settling in Sheridan 4 years ago, I've felt a growing need to do more to cultivate the neighborhood environment, to help ensure other members of the community, present and future, cherish life here as much as I do.

When I moved to Minneapolis in 2012, I discovered Sheridan and knew it was the neighborhood for me. I love being steps away from award-winning restaurants, unique businesses and the Mississippi River. Most of all, I love being part of a diverse, welcoming community. As a SNO Board Member, I’m ready to do whatever it takes to keep our neighborhood vibrant and safe for years to come.

I joined the board to learn more about our community and to be more involved with its safety and make a contribution to solutions and change.
Phil Warumzer - Board Member at Large
I am a first generation American I lived my whole life in Minneapolis and over 30yrs in the Sheridan neighborhood. I just want to raise my son in the same neighborhood I grew up in but be more involved and do all I can to make it better.
Andrew Novotny - Board Member at Large
I grew up northwest of the Twin Cities, spent my college days in Duluth, and finally found my way to Minneapolis in late 2021 when I discovered Sheridan. My first walk through the neighborhood instantly made me feel at home. Sheridan’s friendly residents and local businesses are amazing - and its proximity to the river is just an added bonus. One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about living here is getting to know the people around me through neighborhood cleanups and now, serving as a board member at large. With this opportunity, I’d like to find more ways to bring this community together and make Sheridan an even better place to live.

I was born and raised a Minnesotan and I’ve been a proud Northeaster for 4 years. I love the everything about this community - the people, the restaurants, the bike trails, and the list could go on. As a board member I look forward to keeping our neighborhood, safe, engaged, and a little quirky!

I was born in Minnesota and have been in Sheridan for 6 years now. I absolutely love everything about this neighborhood from the parks, the river, great food scene, and most of all the sense of community we have here. Sheridan is such a special place to me and I want to make sure it stays that way so everyone can enjoy it for years to come.

I’m a Minnesota native who’s lived in and around Nordeast for years. I truly love this city and the people who make it special, and I’m committed to building stronger connections and amplifying our impact right here in the Sheridan neighborhood. I believe real change starts at the local level—one person reaching out to their neighbor at a time. Can’t wait to meet you all!

Nicole Pappas Stanoch - Office & Outreach Manager
I have lived in Sheridan since 2009. I love this community and all it has to offer. This is where I have established my life and where I have chosen to raise my family. I have a diverse background of work history ranging from cross-cultural communications to event execution to urban farming. I am really looking forward to putting all these skills to use to better serve our neighborhood and our greater community.

Do you want to join the board? Anyone who lives, owns a business/property, or represents an institution in Sheridan neighborhood can join. Applications are open on a rolling basis until all vacancies are filled. Elections take place quarterly at our Community Meetings. Applications must be received 30 days before elections.
